Wooden Tableware and Bowls

Wooden tableware and bowls are loved for their gentle texture and warmth, qualities unique to natural materials. The more you use them, the richer their character becomes, as the wood grain develops more depth over time. As a result, you’ll find yourself growing more attached to these items the longer you have them.
Moisture Management
Wood naturally absorbs and releases humidity. After using your wooden tableware, wash it right away and thoroughly dry it with a soft cloth or towel. Leaving it wet can lead to warping or cracking.
We offer a variety of finishes, including uncoated pieces as well as urethane and lacquer coatings.
Handling Precautions
Do not use a dishwasher or microwave. Also, avoid soaking wooden items in water for extended periods.
Wooden Clocks

Our wooden clocks are crafted entirely by hand using carefully selected materials, primarily sourced from Hida-Takayama. These clocks not only suit calm, traditional settings but also fit beautifully in modern spaces, adding a natural accent to your daily life.
Avoid Direct Sunlight and High Humidity
Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight or very humid environments may cause discoloration or warping of the wood. Choose a spot with good airflow and avoid placing or hanging the clock where it will receive direct sun.
Regular Battery Replacement
We use quartz movements in our clocks. If you notice odd behavior or the second hand occasionally stopping, consider changing the battery promptly.
Handling Precautions
If the clock gets dirty, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Because it’s finished with oil, you can protect the surface by applying a wood-specific oil as needed.
Custom-Made Dining Tables and Furniture

At BlueLeaf, we offer custom-made tables tailored to your lifestyle and family size. In addition to wood from Hida-Takayama, we source a variety of timbers from across Japan. We create everything from single-slab tables to bookmatched tables, offering many different styles.
We handle every step in-house—from selecting and procuring the wood to drying, processing, finishing, and aftercare—so you can rest assured your order is in good hands. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
Order Process
Consultation and Discussion
We begin by hearing your ideas and requirements. We’ll determine the atmosphere you’re aiming for and the materials you wish to use.
Design and Estimate
Based on your preferences, we’ll propose a design and provide an estimate. Once details such as size and finish are finalized and the concept is clear, we’ll move forward with your official order.
Production and Delivery
After your order is confirmed, we carefully select the wood, carry out processing, and apply the final finish. Delivery typically ranges from a few weeks to a few months, depending on our schedule and the nature of the project.
Basic Handling and Maintenance for Wooden Furniture
We primarily use a Cerawood finish, which involves applying an ultrafine ceramic topcoat. This method not only highlights the natural grain of the wood but also provides high water and stain resistance.
Of course, we can also offer traditional oil finishes—feel free to consult us.
Humidity and Temperature Control
Wood reacts strongly to changes in humidity and temperature. In winter, when indoor air is dry, use a humidifier or other methods to maintain suitable moisture levels. Conversely, in humid summer months, keep furniture in a well-ventilated area.
Dealing with Scratches and Stains
Minor scratches and stains can add character to wooden pieces. However, if they become bothersome, you can use specialized repair kits or wax. To prevent ring marks from cups or plates, we recommend using coasters or placemats on dining tables.
Long-Term Use
With proper care, wooden items can last for generations. Occasional maintenance according to their finish and simple humidity control—especially when the items aren’t in use—will help minimize deterioration.
At “BlueLeaf,” we offer a wide variety of wooden products, from small items like tableware and clocks to larger furniture pieces such as dining tables. We hope that by bringing the feel and design of natural materials into your home, we can help enrich your everyday life.
